Bring Joy to the Right to Live Centre in Yemen
The Right to Live Centre is one of our projects providing specialised support to children with disabilities. Offering free care to children of all ages, this clinic is the only one of its kind in Yemen. They provide physiotherapy, medication, and access to social workers who show mothers how to support the development of their children. Ìý
At 8-years-old, Farrah has been attending the centre for the past two years. When she first arrived, she was unable to walk and needed help with basic tasks. Through the work of our dedicated team, and with your support, she is now able to walk, read and study, ma sha Allah. Watch now to hear about Farrah:Ìý
Dr Farah Abdullah Madhi runs this centre and loves helping amazing children like Farrah: ‘I love these children and I enjoy this job. I see children coming in a wheelchair and leave walking, which gives me hope. Instead of being written off as disabled, these children prove to society that things can be different.’Ìý
We are running centres for children with disabilities in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen. You can support this life-transforming work by sponsoring a child for £30 per month or £360 for the whole year, or by giving to the Children with Disabilities Fund.Ìý
